The file-insert (Ctrl + I) operation shows the form for inserting a model file, in JSON format.

You can use the file browser to select the model file.

This operation inserts the model at the specified location, provided that a set of consistency conditions is met. It works similarly as diagram-edit-paste, with the model selection as anchor. Like diagram-edit-paste, file-insert skips any listed events.

ARTIS checks these consistency conditions:

• the configurations must be equal
• there must be no duplicate item names
• expressions with the same name must be equal
• units, components, and modes with the same name must be equal

This operation does not work on networks.

The file-open (Ctrl + J) operation shows the form for opening a model file, in JSON format.

You can use the file browser to select the model file.

The file-save (Ctrl + Shift + J) operation saves the model file, in JSON format, to the download location of your web browser.
